Evan joined Kakalec & Schlanger, LLP in 2017 and serves clients in both the consumer protection and employment law practice areas.  Evan is an
Evan Rothfarbaccomplished litigator and comes with a wide range of complex litigation experience, including in class actions and multi-district litigations.  In his varied career, he has litigated cases involving unfair competition and business torts, breach of contract, defamation, employment, intellectual property licensing, partnership dissolution, trade secrets and judgement enforcement and defense.

Prior to joining Kakalec & Schlanger, Evan founded a litigation boutique where he represented individuals and businesses in a variety of commercial actions before federal and state courts throughout the United States.  Previously, Evan served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James Knoll Gardner, United States District Judge, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Prior to his clerkship, Evan began his legal career as an Associate in a small litigation firm in New York City, specializing in commercial litigation and class actions.

Evan received his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School, where he also earned a Certificate in Advocacy.  He was an Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and a member of the Moot Court Board.  Evan is also a graduate of the University of Washington, where he received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Political Science with a political economics concentration and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies.
