Daniel A. Schlanger
Daniel Schlanger heads Kakalec & Schlanger’s consumer protection practice including the firm’s affirmative consumer litigation and its collection defense practice. Dan’s affirmative litigation docket focuses on consumer class actions and other significant federal litigation relating to unfair lending, sales and collection practices. Dan’s collection defense cases include cases involving individuals as well as businesses. The firm’s collection defense cases involve a range of debt types, including medical debt, large credit card liabilities, auto deficiencies, lines of credit, personal guarantees, student loans, etc. Dan joined predecessor firm Schlanger & Schlanger, LLP in 2007 after serving as a legal services attorney and, prior to that, a federal appellate law clerk.
